Brian Jordan: The Interview

Brian Jordan played for 15 seasons in the big leagues, coming up with St. Louis before moving on to Atlanta, being traded to the Dodgers in a blockbuster trade for Gary Sheffield, then signing with Texas before ending it all (just his playing career, not life on earth) with another stint in Atlanta.  But it wasn't just baseball that ran Brian's life.  "Football is my favorite sport," he says in our interview.  And it makes sense.  For 3 seasons, Brian played strong safety for the NFL's Atlanta Falcons, playing alongside Deion Sanders.  But after giving up the NFL for good and focusing on baseball (listen to understand why, I'm not going to spoonfeed everything to you), Brian went on to a solid big league career with some big hits, both as a batter and baserunner (again, just listen to get the reference).

Meanwhile, Brian was planning all along for The End.  He learned real estate, started his own charity called The Brian Jordan Foundation, and eventually wrote his first children's book called I Told You I Can Play.  He's got four more books to follow (I titled one during our interview, and if you listen you'll hear my quick wit and be impressed).

Today, Brian lives in the Atlanta area with his wife of 18 years and bundle of children, who apparently love him very much.  He stays busy with his investments (key lesson: be careful who you get involved with) and broadcasting career for ESPN and Comcast.  And talking to me.  Which you can hear right here:
