The Babe Loved Babes & Babes Love Baseball

Legend has it that when Babe Ruth missed some games during the 1925 season, it was because he ate too many hot dogs.  The real reason, many suspect today ("today" meaning the generic "for the last some-odd years or whatever"), is that he had gonorrhea.  Yes, Babe loved dogs.  But he loved babes just as much.

But you know what?  Babes love baseball.  In this case, don't get all offended thinking I'm disparaging the female resistence movement.  No, I love women.  My wife especially.  She's my babe and I cherish her babeness.  But right here and now (which could be dubbed "today" in the literal sense) I'm writing about a website about baseball, written by four femmes, that's called Babes Love Baseball.

Who are these babes?  And what do they want with us?

We're talking about Sooze, Lizzy, Melissa & Sarah.  I asked Sarah what I should write about her group.  She said this:  "We're just a bunch of women who actually know baseball. And we don't talk about how good players look in their pants."

I only take offense to this statement because I look very good in my pants.

Meanwhile, Sarah is also involved in another website for women, that relates to baseball, called Playing The Field.  The hell is it?  It's this: "Featured on this site are some of the best female sports bloggers on the net.
