Coming Soon: Jimmy Scott Interviews Philadelphia Phillies Pitcher/Showcase U Co-Founder Chad Durbin

By Jimmy Scott - Posted on 13 November 2008

I got to have a nice sit-down yesterday with Philadelphia Phillies reliever and co-founder of Showcase U, Chad Durbin.  Chad's had a pretty good year.  First, he is due his first World Series ring after helping pitch the Phillies to their victory in this year's Fall Classic. (Doesn't that sound like a terrible cliche?  Thought so.)  And, the company he started with former minor league teammate Jake Chapman hit the ground running.  Oh, and his wife and 15-month old son are doing well too.

What did you talk about, Jimmy?

I shall tell you.  We talked about pitching.  We talked about the rivalry between the Philthies & the Metsies.  We talked about position within a victory pile-up.  And we talked, at length, about Showcase U, which is a company designed to help high school and college baseball/softball coaches have an easier time finding & recruiting talent.  Check out their website.  It's a good idea.

Great.  Now, Jimmy, when can we hear it?

Soon.  Here are all of the interviews lined up to be heard over the upcoming Mondays:

- Chad Durbin

- Doug Glanville

- Craig Swan

- Dave Page

- Darren Heitner

- Garrett Berger

- Ed Sprague (Jr.)

- Peter Golenbock

I've got another interview set up today with a former Yankees set up guy (remember 1996, Yankees fans?) and one scheduled for next week with a former #1 draft pick who was involved in one of the biggest trades, if not the biggest, in NY Mets' history.  And, there are a few other interviews up my sleeve (not literally up my sleeve; I'd need a very large shirt).

So bookmark me (not literally me, I mean this site) or subscribe to the RSS feed or just remember to keep coming back.  I'm here for you (literally).

I wonder if the Durbinator reads WSBGM's? He should, he's liked there.
