The First Official Thank You From Jimmy Scott's High & Tight, Presented By A Sponsor To Be Named Later

By Jimmy Scott - Posted on 26 November 2008

My friend Garrett Berger, former #1 pick of the Marlins and current head of iFungo.com, suggested I give my thanks to you before the Thanksgiving Day holiday officially kicks in.  I said to myself, very tenderly and slowly, "Why don't you do it, Jimmy?"  With no answer to think of, I elected and opted, simultaneously, to then move ahead with this modus operandi (that's Latin for "thing to do").  Thus, here is the first Official Thank You From Jimmy Scott's High & Tight, presented by a sponsor to be named later.

THANK YOU!

How's that?  You see, if I had a big corporate sponsor behind me, one who could call the shots, edit my words and completely morph my personality toward their brand image, thus washing away my soul, my passion for living, I would elaborate.  But really, what's the point?  It would all be so generic.  You'd have shut down your computer already, hanging out for that 5-second little ditty that Windows plays just as it's turning itself off.  No, there's nothing in it for me, specifically MONEY, so why should I push you to read a load of horsehockey?  There's plenty of horsehockey to be published today about giving thanks and how you should be giving thanks and how we should all pander to whomever gave us the most to be thankful for today.  Why should I add to the horsehockey traffic?  You know what you're thankful for.  Do you necessarily care that I'm silently giving thanks this Thanksgiving for hair on my head?  No.  You don't care.  You've got your own hair and heads to worry about.

I hope that you appreciate how I'm saving you from a long-winded diatribe (look it up) about dull things about me you don't care about.  In other words...

YOU'RE WELCOME.

Note that the "You're Welcome" was sponsored by iFungo.com, the online destination for all of your high-quality sporting goods needs.

Have a happy.

- Jimmy
