It was like a stick cracked in half over a waiting knee. Or a Thanksgiving wishbone pulled apart by a hopeful brother and sister. You can pick a simile, or come up with your own. Either way, it doesn’t help Jimmy Scott, the one-time pitching great whose career hangs in the balance after tearing his UCL in yesterday’s opening day loss to Atlanta.
