Jimmy Scott's High & Tight: The Leury Moreno Escobar Interview Part 2

If you listened to Part I of the Jimmy Scott's High & Tight Interview with Leury Moreno Escobar, you know there are some serious allegations going on.  Feedback to this interview and also to a corresponding article: Taking Him Back: Why A Baseball Wife Forgives A Cheating Husband has been supportive at times and, at other times, aggressively negative.  You see, Leury Escobar, the estranged wife of Milwaukee Brewers shortstop of the future Alcides Escobar, is in a unique situations that maybe some of you have been in before and probably most of you have not.  She's married to a man who, according to her, left her and their unborn daughter in the 2008-2009 off season.  As you heard in Part I and you'll hear in Part II, the cast of characters and series of events reads like a great novel or future movie of the week.  For example:

- The emergency c-section and money diverted to a girlfriend's "boob job"

- The abandonment of the newborn child

- The phone calls and text-stalking

- A Hit Man allegedly hired to help speed up divorce proceedings

- A possible reconciliation turned into a trick to serve divorce papers

- Agents and their various roles and actions

It's important to stress, as was stated in Part I, that Alcides Escobar was approached for comment and he did not respond, either directly and through his agent.  Other "cast members" in this story also refused comment, either directly over the phone or via email.  Certain names have been removed from the audio portion of the interview because some of the allegations mentioned are very serious, i.e. the Hit Man.  Revealing those names publicly would put this site as well as Mrs. Escobar at risk for a lawsuit.

The person accused of hiring the Hit Man was spoken to and the accusations were denied.  "They have nothing to do with me," the person said.  "I don't even know her.  She's trying to get attention."  This individual went on to say that it was "crazy news" and "ridiculous."

The proof that Leury mentions in the interview was followed up on afterward.  The phone number for the man in the Dominican Republic who allegedly revealed the identity of the Hit Man and his contractor no longer worked.   Thus, there is no evidence confirming that a Hit Man was hired to potentially hurt anyone.

The Leury/Alcides Escobar story raises questions, both about the named participants and those who are part of The Baseball Industry.  It's touched a team GM, players and wives, agents, player financial consultants, a former World Series champion & his wife, a heralded MLB prospect, baseball fans and a young child. It's a story of sex, violence, money, and pride.  I don't want to sell you anymore on why you should hear this.   It's time that you just listen:
