Jimmy Scott's High & Tight: The Darren Heitner Interview
Young sports agent Darren Heitner is one of those guys who you admire. He's one of those people who you quietly envy because he can not only come up with an idea, but he can also carry it out. He's a person who thinks, and therefore who does.
Darren is a human mutual fund, with his own agency, Dynasty Athlete Representation, his own well-respected and highly-read blog, SportsAgentBlog.com, profiles all over the web, from here to Young Money Magazine, his own personal website at DarrenHeitner.com, and a plan that will make sure he reaches every goal he sets for himself.
In his Jimmy Scott's High & Tight interview, Darren Heitner discusses how to become an accredited MLB agent, the route he's taken with his agency to represent not only baseball players, but also pro bowlers, basketball players, models & more. He discusses his agency's commitment to family and innovation. And finally, he spins about the importance and role of 21st century technology for a start-up agent like himself.

Nice interview! I was looking for answers to all the questions you have asked. Thanks for that!
I am a currently a junior in college majoring in Business marketing wanting to become a sports agent. Coming from France, I do not have any "links" in the United States, and therefore haven't learned much about the job. This Interview really is interesting to me! I didn't know Bowling didn't have a Union, I didn't know the different facets of when you are eligible to represent a player when you can't without being accredited/registered by the league. Darren Heitner 23 years old and did so much. I'm 22 and really motivated to do well. I'm still looking for an internship in a sports agency. No doubt working with/for Darren would be an honor!
